DETEK has extensive experience in the design and the construction supervision of outfalls and marine pipelines, being active in that market for over 25 years. In the last five years alone, DETEK has been involved in many underwater pipeline projects in Turkey, ranging in size from 150mm diameter to 2400 mm diameter, with lengths up to 12.910 m, and covering the full range of construction techniques, including bottom and off-bottom pipeline tow, J-lay installation ,Vented S-bend technique and segmental installation.

Foça Deep Water Outfall Project

Construction Method : Vented S-Bend Technique

Highlighs of The Project
The pipeline is installaed in twor stages and each stage last around 3 hours.
The pipeline was laid in an uniform alignment to meet the customer requirement
The diffuser section of the outfall was also installed with veted S-bend Technique
 

City of Antalya Deep Water Outfall Project
Client : STFA Marine Construction Co. (Main Contractor)
Year : 1998-1999
Pipe : 1.600mm diameter HDPE PN6 Pipe
Length : 2.550 m
Max. Water Depth : 50 m
Construction Method : Vented S-Bend Technique

Highlighs of The Project
The World Record at the time being for Installing tyhe longest (2550 meters) HDPE pipeline at one sinking operation.
The sinking Operation completed in 3.5 hours.
The pipeline was made up 5 pieces each around 500 meters long.
Pipes are extruded in Norway and towed to City of Antalya in 45 days.
